where to stay in tartu: hotel antonius

[eng] #presstrip Last week I was on a press trip to Tartu, the second largets city in Estonia. Food was in focus, and #tastytartu was the hashtag, but I’ll get back to the eatable stuff later. Now I’d like to share my experience of our wonderful accommodation. If you plan a trip to Tartu, I’d warmly recommend Hotel Antonius. Tartu is small (you can walk pretty much everywhere), and this hotel is situated in the middle of it all, right oposite the main building of Tartu university and only a couple of minutes walk from the central square. The hotel feels antique, which is not so strange considering the fact that the building is under heritage protection. It’s elegant and cozy and the same time, and oozes of charm. But it’s far from old, dated and dark. The rooms are airy and light with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms – make sure you take some time to soak in that awesome bathtub! Happy feet! The devil is in the details. Equally as impressive is their breakfast, which is served in a vaulted cellar room with a stunning glass atrium.
